MECOMAT 598 is a heavy duty machine designed to guarantee a vibration-free operation.
The complete levelling head mechanism is guided by self lubricating bearings, mounted on twin tempered linear shafts. The head mechanism when fully extended maintains an accuracy of .001" (3/100 mm) while levelling band saw blades.
The precision measuring unit is firmly mounted on two tempered shafts, with precision bearings insuring accurate tolerances. Uneveness of a band saw blade is detected by the computerized encoder which immediately signals into action two strategically located upper and lower convex and concave levelling rollers that quickly and accurately levels the band saw blade.
On the touch-screen display, you will find all the operation allowed on this machine. The display is very reliable and easy to use, and is well life for every conditions.
An important feature is the new system to hold the band saw blade during levelling operation. Six pneumatic pressure rollers maintain the right direction for every type of band saw blade (wide or narrow).
The gear box has a completely new construction. Now, two feed rollers carry the band saw blade faster and with more grip, that means, the machine can level very long and heavy blades without problem.
Further qualities
The traditional levelling system has been completely changed.
Now, the positive and negative levelling rollers push every time with a different pressure on the band saw blade, depending on the deformity.
A special contactless inductive sensor, which is extremely precise, reads the deformity, in positive or in negative, and transmits all data into the PLC - unit.
For every single deformity, there will be a different type of pressure on the levelling rollers and therefore on the saw blade.
This revolutionary work is executed by two electronic proportional pneumatic valves, e.g.: if the sensor reads a deformity like +0.05, the positive roller pushes with a force of approximately 120 kg. A different programme for each single type of thickness (0.8 mm to 2.11 mm) is mounted.
